Is God Enough?

Are you single and would like to be married? Do you feel that a husband and children would satisfy your deepest longing? While these are blessings and things you desire, they are not the most important. No ~ Jesus is. You have hope because of a relationship with Jesus. Do not ask "Can I be single for the rest of my life?" Rather "Can I be single today? Will I let God be enough for today?" This may not be your problem but maybe it is the loss of your job, being childless, wayward children, or the tragedy of a loved one passing away. Whatever it is, let God be enough for the moment.

God is not only enough

HOPE

HOPE DANCES IN THE PUDDLES

TILL THE SUN COMES OUT AGAIN

We need hope ~ we cannot live one moment without it. Hope is more than a wish. Hope believes in the promises of God. A person full of hope is filled with thanksgiving and joy. Hope is kept alive by a daily devotion to God and regular church attendance. Hope is joyful even in the middle of the storm because it knows the sun is going to shine again!

Dear Jesus, Hold My Hand

Please dear Jesus, hold my hand.

I can't see the way ahead and I'm so weak and helpless. I'm afraid I might stumble ~ I don't want to take one step without you. Only you, my loving Savior, knows the future and what it holds for me. So please take my hand and hold it tight and lead me through the darkness.

Thank you, dear Jesus for holding my hand.

Fear

What are you afraid of?

the economy

your health

your children

your future

There are lots of reasons to be afraid in this world we live in today. God's message is "Don't be afraid!" Release your anxieties; let go of your fears. Did you know there are 365 verses in the Bible that tell us not to be afraid or to fear not? God provided us with one "fear not" message for every day of the year. God wants us to get the message! DO NOT BE AFRAID. We do not need to be afraid of God. He is for us, not against us. He wants the very best for us and that is what He will do for us. We must believe that. If you find yourself fearing something find a verse in the Bible that says "fear not." Together with that say a prayer and you will clobber that fear!

Light for Today: Don't worry about things ~ food, drink, and clothes. For you already have a life and a body ~ they are far more important than what to eat and wear. Look at the birds! They don't worry about what to eat ~ they don't need to sow or reap or store up food ~ for your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than they are. Matthew 6:25, 26

Plodding Along or Climbing Higher?

Do you feel like you are just plodding along? Just surviving ~ alive but not necessarily thriving? You wonder how you can gain a deeper, fuller, richer Christian life. Even though there are no "quick fixes" do not despair. A few guidelines will lead you to a steady "climbing higher."

Bible Study

Prayer & Meditation

Obedience

Repentance

Worship

Sometimes it takes fasting.

Even though the climb is steep, rough and takes all we've got, Jesus will help us with the "climbing higher." Every climb is worth the effort. The higher the climb the more breath taking the view. In the end we will lay our heads on Jesus' breast.

We Have A Purpose

We each have a special purpose.

God gave each of us different gifts intentionally.

God enjoys watching us use these talents and abilities He gave us.

We need to be everything God created us to be.

Our life is in the hands of an unfailing God.

Is Anything To Hard For God?

Do you face a huge mountain in

your life that seems insurmountable?

Is the river ahead so turbulent that

you feel it is impossible to cross?

Do your problems seem so difficult as though there is no solution? No matter what our predicament is or how difficult our circumstance seems to be we serve a POWERFUL God who "is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think." (Eph. 3:20) Stand still and wait on God with unwavering trust. God can remove obstacles that seem immovable to us.
