Don't Forget To Pray

Christmas is a season of hustle and bustle but one thing we must never forget and that is to pray. Pray to God at dawn and again at the setting sun.

Light for Today: It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night. Psalm 92:1-2

Pray With Praise

Are you praying selfishly? Wanting all sorts of things for yourself? That is not what prayers are meant for. God in His wisdom refuses things we wrongly desire. Infuse your prayers with praise and thanksgiving. When you pray with thanksgiving and praise you will find yourself praying less selfishly and more for others. Those kind of prayers God answers.



Light for Today: I will praise God's name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30

the things we take for granted

our water well is working good

(it doesn't always)

(our sweet dog)

our large appliances are all working

(they are old)

our good health

(we're not as young as we used to be)

we could take two awesome road trips this year

(with no accident nor harm)

hubby got a small raise

(some don't have jobs)

Farmer's Market

(I love my friends there)

and the list is endless.

God Is Interested

GOD IS INTERESTED IN EVERYTHING WE DO!

God wants us to do what He designed us to do. God is pleased when we read the Bible, attend church, pray and share our faith but He is also very interested in all the other things we do. God enjoys watching us at work and getting together with friends. This brings God pleasure if we are doing it in praise to Him. Even the most mundane tasks can be God's pleasure if we are thankful. Washing dishes, cleaning house and gardening are things God gave us to enjoy. When we enjoy these things we also are praising God. Let's make pleasing God the goal of our life.
