Is Praying Important To You?

Is praying as important as life and death to you? It was to Daniel. Daniel was a great man of faith and prayer. He prayed three times a day even though it was against the King's decree. Daniel is a good example for us to follow.


Light for Today: But though Daniel knew about it, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs bedroom, with its windows open toward Jerusalem, and prayed three times a day, just as he always had, giving thanks to his God. Daniel 6:10 TLB

My Purpose

The purpose of my life belongs to God, not me. I want God to use me from His perspective and I will trust Him in everything He asks of me. I must stop telling God what I want so He can freely work His will in me without any hindrance. He asks me to have absolute faith in Him and His goodness.

Leap In The Dark

Leap In the Dark

If we plan to do something worthwhile for Jesus there will be times that we will have to risk everything. We will need to take a leap in the dark ~ a leap by faith. Once we obey, we will find that what He asks of us is common sense.

O ye of little faith

Jesus Calms The Storm

Terrible storms come into our lives from time to time. Our little boat rocks hard in the tempest. We must sit close to Jesus and take hold of a part of His robe. Only then will we have a great calm in our heart. We need not be fearful of the storm because even the wind and waves obey Jesus. We must fight, fight, and fight until God blesses and the storm subsides. We have a Jesus that will take us through a storm and we will shine like gold.

Light for Today: And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but He was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke Him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And He saith unto them, "Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?" Sometimes my faith is as sturdy as an iron gate.

But at other times, it is as flimsy as an

Old slip wanting to fall around my ankles.

What kind of faith will I have today?

Amazingly, the choice is up to me.
